More Information

Our Defensive Pistol Fundamentals course is designed to be an educational experience for anyone from the first-time shooter to the experienced operator. Anyone who wishes to improve upon the core fundamental shooting skill building. This training will make the shooter more confident and capable when using a pistol for personal or defensive purposes. Our Cadre of instructors will be there to assist you in becoming comfortable with the defensive fundamental skills of sight alignment, grip, stance, proper trigger manipulation, drawing and presenting from the holster, and reloading.

This course is designed to introduce you to modern handgun fighting techniques. These techniques include but are not limited to proper target acquisition and identification, proper shot placement to effectively engage and win an armed encounter, and the footwork needed to help you survive an armed encounter. This course will open your mind to new drills, which can be practiced outside the course and at home to improve your abilities.

This course was designed, keeping first-time handgun owners and weekend shooters in mind. This course will introduce you to the skills needed to confidently carry a handgun and use the platform for defense purposes without overwhelming the student. This course is also a perfect way to stay sharp if you consider yourself a seasoned shooter, or even knock off the rust if it’s been a while since practicing in a defensive manner. All students will leave having gained something from the course.  We can’t wait to see you all there and have a great time learning and training with you all. (MINIMUM ROUND COUNT – 300 rounds)

This course will start at 8 am on Aug. 17th and will run for 4-5 hours. This course will be held at the Morgan Shooting Range.
