More Information

The Intermediate Defensive Pistol Course is designed to build upon the fundamentals taught in our fundamental course. If you are not comfortable and proficient with the subject matter taught in our fundamental course, this course is probably not for you.

This course benefits any shooter, from the still learning shooter to the experienced operator. Anyone who wishes to improve their core fundamental skills will grow and improve.  Our Cadre of instructors assists you in becoming more comfortable with working malfunctions, off-hand or weak-hand shooting, use of cover, multiple threat engagements, lots of movement, and much more.

This course will review the fundamentals, including proper grip, stance, trigger manipulation, reloads, and presentation from the holster. We will not go into depth on these subjects. Prior experience is a prerequisite to attend this course.

This course has been designed as an introduction to modern handgun fighting techniques, such as target acquisition and identification, shot placement to engage and win an armed encounter effectively, use of your environment and surroundings, the footwork needed to help you survive an armed encounter, and a good number of move-and-shoot drills.

We will introduce you to the skills needed to confidently carry and deploy a handgun for defense while minimizing liability to you and those around you. This course will add stress to the training and provide a basis for the shooter to perform technical skills, all while controlling the adrenaline rush associated with these types of events.

All students will leave having gained quality experience, insight, and knowledge from the course, making them more well-rounded and capable shooters.  To simulate stress, each student should be able to perform physical exercises such as sprints, pushups, lunges, etc.  Exceptions or substitutions for exercises will be made on a case-by-case basis.

We can’t wait to see you all there and have a great time learning and training with you all. (MINIMUM ROUND COUNT – 300-500 rounds)

ADVISORY: Any student who presents a risk to the other shooters in the class, be it unsafe actions or inability to perform the drills in a safe manner, will be asked to leave the firing line. No refunds will be issued in this situation. SAFETY is our top priority.

This course will start at 9 am on June 28th and will run for 4-5 hours. This course will be held at the Morgan Shooting Range.
