More Information

The Tier II Intermediate Defensive Pistol Course is designed to build upon the fundamentals taught in our Tier III course. This course provides benefits to any shooter, from the first-time shooter to the experienced operator. Anyone who wishes to improve upon their core fundamental skills will grow and improve. The shooter will become more confident and capable when using a pistol for personal and defensive purposes. Our Cadre of instructors assists you in becoming more comfortable with working malfunctions, off-hand or weak-hand shooting, use of cover, multiple threat engagements, high-speed movement, and much more. This course will also provide a review of fundamentals including proper grip, stance, trigger manipulation, reloads, and presentation from the holster. This course has been designed as an introduction to modern handgun fighting techniques such as target acquisition and identification, shot placement to effectively engage and win an armed encounter, use of your environment and surroundings, and the footwork needed to help you survive an armed encounter. This course will introduce training drills that can be practiced at home to improve your abilities.

This course was designed to build upon a solid foundational skill base and push the shooter to grow in their capabilities. We will introduce you to the skills needed to confidently carry a handgun and deploy it for defense purposes while minimizing liability to you and those around you. This course will add stress to the training and provide a basis for the shooter to perform technical skills skillfully; all while controlling the adrenaline rush associated with these types of events.  All students will leave having gained quality experience, insight, and knowledge from the course, making them a more well-rounded and capable shooter.  To simulate stress, each student should be able to perform physical exercises such as sprints, pushups, lunges, etc.  Exceptions or substitutions for exercises will be made on a case-by-case basis.

We can’t wait to see you all there and have a great time learning and training with you all. (MINIMUM ROUND COUNT – 300 rounds)

This course will start at 2 pm on Aug. 17th and will run for 5 hours. This course will be held at the Morgan Shooting Range.
