More Information

Our Urban Rifle/Carbine Fundamentals course is designed to be an educational experience for anyone from the first-time shooter to the experienced operator. Anyone who wishes to improve upon the core fundamental shooting skills will benefit from this course. This training will make the shooter more confident and capable when operating a rifle or carbine for personal or defensive purposes. Our Cadre of instructors will be there to assist you in becoming comfortable with the defensive fundamental skills of sight alignment, grip, stance, proper trigger manipulation, proper zeroing of the firearm, proper movement with your weapons system, rhythm drills and firing sequences, transitions to your sidearm, and reloading.

This course is designed to introduce you to modern rifle/carbine fighting techniques. These techniques include but are not limited to proper target acquisition and identification, proper shot placement to effectively engage and win an armed encounter, the footwork needed to help you survive an armed encounter, and proper weapon manipulations. This course will open your mind to new drills, which can be practiced outside the course and at home to improve your abilities.

This course was designed, keeping first-time rifle/carbine owners and weekend shooters in mind. This course will introduce you to the skills needed to confidently deploy your rifle or carbine and use the platform for defense purposes, without overwhelming the student. This course is also a perfect way to stay sharp if you consider yourself a seasoned shooter, or even knock off the rust if it’s been a while since practicing defensively. All students will leave having gained something from the course.

We can’t wait to see you all there and have a great time learning and training with you all. (MINIMUM ROUND COUNT – 300 rounds)

This course will start at 9am on April 27th and will run 6-8 hours. This course will be held at the Morgan Shooting Range.
